Planning Tips For Your Event
Party Planning 101
What size tent do I need?
When it comes to deciding the size of tent you will need for your party, there are a few things to consider.
CONSIDER THE AVAILABLE SPACE FOR YOUR TENT
One of the most common things Connecticut residents should consider is, what size space do I have available. You want to be sure you have a large enough space for a tent to fit your needs. You then also want to consider surface type. Asphalt and concrete usually will require a frame tent, whereas a pole tent can go on most soft surfaces.
CONSIDER THE NUMBER OF GUESTS
The next important factor in determining the size of your tent will be the number of guests that you expect to show up. Is this a formal sit down event or a casual standing/seated event where you do not expect everyone to require a seat at the same time. It is good to note that round tables take up more space than rectangle tables. So if you are looking to maximize space, rectangle tables may be the best option for you.
CONSIDER FOOD/BAR/DJ?BAND SPACE
Is your event being catered by a caterer or are you picking up food. You will need an area to place the food down. As a general rule, you’ll need a 10-ft by 10-ft area for each 8-ft buffet table. This will allow room for the tables themselves and the buffet line. The good news is that if you’re using a caterer, he or she will assist you with these calculations to make sure there’s enough room for everyone. If you are not using a caterer, do you have chaffing dishes to keep the food warm.
If you are having a DJ, Band or Bar, you are going to also want to consider space to endure they fit under the tent as well. This also includes a dance floor for people to dance as well as space around it for people to gather.

How do I know what size linen I should get?
When deciding on linen, between color and drop size there can be a lot to understand. Just note that a standard table hight is 30" from the ground and standard 8' banquet table is 30" wide. This chat will allow you to determine your desired drop to ensure you achieve the exact look you are dreaming of.
